I have a spontaneous low-volume cricket-like noise in my right ear which comes intermittently in bursts of a couple of seconds, every few minutes. What could this be a symptom of ?

The "cricket" noise in my right ear has been persistent, and seemed to have increased in happening frequency. It used to come in 5-second bursts every 90 seconds, but now has cropped up every 70 seconds or so. It happens all day long, except during my 1-hour daily walking exercises where my heart beat increases to around 90/min, my body sweats and my blood pressure drops. So what does this mean ? Can physical exercises help cure tinnitus ?

~ @ ~ A note to myself: This afternoon I've put in a second 1-hour session of walking and exercises in addition to the morning walk, and my evening has been practically free of the "cricket" noise in the ear. There are still a few tiny shots of noise happening now and then, but they are nothing like the regular 5-second bursts of pestering crickets !
Will have to re-organise my daily routine to do more physical exercises, and see if this is a true lasting solution or not.

! @ ! Well, the extra physical exercise certainly helped alleviate the problem but did not solve it entirely.
It's interesting to note, however, that I've come down with influenza for the last couple of days, possessing hardly any strength for exercise, and yet the cricket-noise in my ear has clearly diminished in intensity and frequency.
To fight off the flu bug, I took extra vitamin C, and doused my nasal sinuses with a diluted solution of Betadine (something I've learned from the cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough during the worldwide Covid-19 drama). So perhaps the cleaning of my nasal sinuses has also cleared up some possible congestion or infection within my inner ear ?
(I lost my sense of smell for a couple of days, did the Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Test, which came up negative)

@ - @ My tinnitus problem persists but no longer troubles me much since its intensity has reduced and I've also learned to tolerate it. A couple of days ago, however I had a sudden attack of vertigo which scared the hell out of me, due to a lack of understanding what's going on in my head. The spinning sensation and dizziness came in waves every few minutes. This vertigo episode fortunately subsided after about an hour, after some head and ear massage effort . I went to my doctor the next day, and was prescribed betahistine tablets to help treat a possible inner ear infection. Searching the internet I found out that "Betahistine is a medicine used to treat the symptoms of Ménière's disease. These symptoms include: feeling dizzy and a spinning sensation (vertigo) ringing in the ears (tinnitus) loss of hearing." A bit more searching let me discover some YouTube videos which really shined much light into my whole inner-ear condition, and showed me how to deal with it: Really regret not finding out about these exercises before, but then better late than never ! Main points to note regarding various factors which can lead to Vertigo (BPPV) symptoms: 1) Inner ear infection/dysfunction 2) Neck muscle problems 3) Eye (vision) issues 4) TMJ (jaw muscle( dysfunction)

This video reveals another quite surprising angle to the matter of Meniere's disease Something else has clicked in my head: For as long as my memory can hold (decades) , I've had a problem of grinding my teeth during sleep . Have had to wear a splint in my mouth at night for years and years.
